What is 22FM?
22FM is Leiden University College's very own radio station. We host weekly 2-hour episodes on a variety of themes that try to promote a wide range of music and broaden our listeners’ musical horizons. 22FM aims to be a place where members of the LUC community can share their unique music tastes and discuss the cultural significance of music in an open and thoughtful forum. 22FM hopes to entertain the LUC community as a whole, and hopefully introduce them to a myriad of music that they may never have ventured to listen to otherwise.
When is 22FM live?
We are live every Wednesday night from 20:00-22:00. Tune in via our home page!
What is this week's theme?
Please check out our regularly updated Schedule page or our Instagram!
Where can I listen to old shows?
On our Playlists page, we have linked all of our show playlists hosted on Spotify.*
If you'd like to listen to the full recorded shows back with our commentary, please check out our Listen Again page and/or our Mixcloud page (they are the same content).
*Tip from our ad-hating chair: If you, like me, don't have Spotify premium, you can still listen to our playlists and bypass ads by listening on desktop with UBlock Origin installed on your browser. This extension will also significantly improve your online life in general, but that's a tangent for another time.
Where are all the show recordings from November 2023 to May 2024?
A genuine tragedy: our broadcasting software was improperly configured and didn't record a single one of the shows in this timeframe. Fortunately, all of the show tracklists are available under the Playlists tab, so you'll just have to play them and imagine all of our witty commentary.
How can I be a part of 22FM?
If any of the following apply to you:
- I have a show idea!
- I want to be part of the crew!
- My committee would like to collaborate with 22FM!
Please reach out to us via DM on our Instagram or email us at [email protected].
If these options sound like too much of a commitment to you, but you'd still like to be involved, please be on the lookout for our interactive shows such as the 24 Hour Show (Block 2) and the Outdoor Show (Block 4), which will be announced well in advance via Instagram and the LUC group chats.
Why does the website look like that/load so slowly?
The 22FM website is best viewed on desktop! If the formatting is confusing on mobile, your confusion will probably be solved if you look here on a computer. Unfortunately, the constraints of our hosting platform make it difficult to optimize the website for mobile.
Our website is pretty outdated. We are in the process of revamping it and attempting to make it both more easily navigable and faster-running. If you have questions/comments/concerns you can contact us via Instagram DM or email, as listed above, or send in an answer to the Google Form on our home page. Please note that DM or email will ensure a faster response to your message, as we typically only check the Google Form responses during shows.
ok thanks love you bye <3
